Brett Brown is managing partner of Hatch Gamble Brown.  He has over 15 years of experience as an elite legal recruiter, law firm consultant and professional career coach. He is highly sought after in in the top-tier lateral partner market by both law firms and candidates.  His expansive knowledge of the legal landscape in major markets enables him to guide candidates to the best platforms for their practices. He is adept at assisting law firms seeking to enter new markets, and at finding individuals and practice groups that mesh with a firm’s culture and build on its strengths.  Brett is frequently asked to assist in difficult niche searches, where his legal background, extensive network of contacts, and research skills enable him to identify and present hard-to-find candidates to interested firms.

Brett has brokered lateral partner deals at some of the worlds leading law firms, and he has made multiple in-house placements at Fortune 500 companies and start-ups.  His law firm clients  have included Gibson Dunn, O’Melveny & Meyers, Goodwin Proctor,  Proskauer Rose, Quinn Emanuel, Paul Hastings, Hogan Lovells, Sheppard Mullin, Morrison Foerster,  Brown Rudnick, Haynes Boone, Winston & Strawn, McDermott Will & Emery and Thompson Coburn.

Brett previously served as Managing Director at the world’s largest legal search firm and as one of a team of four recruiters in California’s most elite boutique recruiting operation.  He earned his JD at Temple University School of Law with honors and his undergrad degree at King’s College, where he was an academic all-American swimmer and captain of the volleyball team.  Before starting his recruiting practice, Brett was a member of the tax and estate planning group at a law firm in Philadelphia.
