Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Vince Farhat has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as a partner in the firm’s White Collar Defense group. Farhat will lead the firm’s West Coast offices’ white collar practice.
“We are delighted to have Vince bring his in-depth knowledge and expertise in white collar crimes to our clients on the West Coast,” said Matthew Vafidis, head of Holland & Knight’s West Coast Litigation group. “The addition of Vince further strengthens Holland & Knight’s extensive litigation capabilities on the West Coast.”
For the last eight years, Farhat has been an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Central District of California, Los Angeles; most recently as the Criminal Health Care Fraud Coordinator in that office’s Major Frauds Section.
John Hogan, chair of Holland & Knight’s National Litigation Section and co-chair of the firm’s national White Collar Criminal Defense Team added, “Vince brings tremendous talent and experience to the firm’s White Collar Defense Team. We could not be more pleased that he has joined our group. He brings almost a decade worth of government experience; five of those years investigating and prosecuting white collar crimes. He is an outstanding addition to the firm and its White Collar Defense Team.”

Farhat has served as an adjunct professor at Loyola Law School for more than six years in Health Care Law and Civil Procedure. From 1998 to 1999, he served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Edward Rafeedie, U.S. District Court Judge for the Central District of California. He received his undergraduate degree from American University, a master in business administration from Pepperdine University and his J.D. from Loyola Law School (Los Angeles) in 1996.
